Heart of God

A Middle School Experience

for grades 6 - 8

We invite you to join us Wednesday nights at 7:00

to experience the Lord through worship.

A Message from Heart of God Ministry Leader Toni Morton:

Worship from the Heart

Singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts.

Ephesians 5:19

Psalms 95:6, Psalms 98:1-4, and Psalms 96 demonstrate true hearts of worship.

Music is a universal language to me. I feel that music can touch anyone’s heart. This is why I feel true worship is an intimate diary to the Lord from the heart. King David had a heart after God and I desire to give these kids the chance to experience the heart of God through music. To also share that same love and intimacy with God through the music in their hearts.

God gave me the desire to use music to share His word with kids. I long for the day that God allows this ministry to preach the word through the mouth of the next generation using music, dramas, and skits while traveling. Since I was little, I have desired to see a group of youth singing God’s word and preaching to the world touching hearts. I first gave my life to Christ because of a musical play I saw that was based on the Biblical walk of Jesus’ life and all He gave. That touched me more than reading the word.

Worship is a very powerful communication link to God. When you allow yourself to truly worship God you give up the cares of the world and forget about what people might think and only worry about what God might think. Then and only then can you reach true understanding of worship and the power it holds when directed to God. And in return, He pours out His manifest presence on you and brings you to your knees in love and acceptance of who you are. Not caring about what you did or have done, but loving you for who you are.

God deserves the love of His children in trueness and purity; just like the innocence of a child (Matthew 18:1-4). Mark10:14-15, let the children come to Me. Don’t stop them! For the kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.

We need to become like children before the Lord in worship.

In Christ,

Toni Morton
